Professional Coach Training to Multiply Your Impact

Transformational leadership requires new ways of communicating with those you work with. Coaching skills are essential.

This 61-hour professional coach training is for anyone who wishes to gain empowering coaching skills and take on a part-time or full-time coaching role. It's led from a faith-based perspective. We are a leading provider of coaching training for Christian non-profit organizations. CORE is approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF), which means your training meets the highest marketplace standards. 

Graduates may get their ICF credential by taking Coaching Excellence and applying through the ICF Portfolio track. You can also train others with The COACHING Workshop for Christian Leaders Trainer License.

The Outcome
Those who complete this program will acquire competency in the core coaching skills to support others to develop their potential in all areas of life and to take action to accomplish that which matters most to them.

The Approach
By focusing on core coaching skills through a Christian worldview, leaders reflect on their current behavior and leadership styles to create a unique blend for greater leadership effectiveness. Many participants go on to a part-time or full-time coaching role.

The Program 

Through theory, examples, interaction, coaching, and lots of practice, participants learn the core skills of coaching, which include:

  • Listening: Taming the Tongue
  • Inquiry: Provoking Reflection
  • Feedback: Speaking the Truth in Love
  • Expanding: Facilitating Discovery
  • Focusing: Designing Actions
  • Following-up: Supporting Progress

In addition, the program will cover topics such as:

  • The Uniqueness of Coaching
  • Qualities of a Great Coach
  • The Transformational Formula
  • The COACH Model™
  • How to Enable Personal Transformation
  • Establishing Yourself as a Coach
  • How to attain your ICF Credential
The Practical Stuff
In-person training is held over 5 days, usually 8:30am to 6pm. Interactive training using a variety of learning styles and plenty of practice is incorporated into the schedule. Thursday's lunch is a working lunch where you will work on a project with classmates.

TeleClasses
Group training sessions done over a normal telephone. You will call a number in the USA and be connected with other participants. The six two-hour calls every two weeks consist of interactive teaching, discussion, demonstration and role plays. We have 2 easy ways to make up a teleclass if you must miss one.

Program Requirements


You have 18 months from the beginning of the course to complete the requirements.

  • Complete all live and teleclass sessions.
  • Complete 2 coaching practicum assignments.
  • Coach at least three people for a collective total of 25 hours.
Costs
Participant fees include:
  • The 5 days of in-person training
  • Six teleclasses
  • 350+ page participant manual
  • Lunches and snacks

Costs not included are:

  • Transportation, Lodging
  • Additional room charges such as meals, drinks, internet, laundry, etc.
